Growing up, I completed my schooling at Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Tripunithura, the temple town near Cochin in Kerala. One of the morning routines we followed was to recite a few verses from the Bhagavad Gītā before the classes commenced. Over time, we could memorise most verses from the Gītā though we didn't know the meaning of these verses.
I remember the day I asked my class teacher, "What is the point of reciting these verses daily without knowing their meaning?"
She smiled and replied, "We are leaving a spark in your mind today. I'm sure as you grow, you will kindle this spark and pursue the meaning on your own."
My teenage mind then thought that was a smart answer by my teacher. 😀
But today I understand what she meant. Over the years that followed, I spent a lot of time volunteering for All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra, the youth wing of Chinmaya Mission, attending and conducting weekly study classes on Bhagavad Gītā and Vedanta. It is here that I first learnt the art of integrating the timeless wisdom from the Indian Knowledge Traditions in a way that is appealing to the youth and meaningful to the contemporary context.
Over a decade later, it is the same spark that kindled the fire to leave behind my corporate roles in pursuit of the sacred quest to discover my Svadharma. During this journey, I've been blessed to meet many mentors, coaches, and teachers from whom I have abundantly received with gratitude.
It is with this joy, gratitude, and excitement that I share with all of you the launch of the pilot cohort of the 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐆𝐢𝐭𝐚 program.
This program is designed for a small, curated group of committed seekers and leaders. I bring together my learnings from diverse Indian Knowledge Traditions as well as process work and facilitation into this program. I am also excited to partner with my long-time friend and fellow seeker, Pradeep Kumar in co-facilitating this journey.
Who is this for?
